SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for oil and gas well operations, well testing, operating, and maintaining field equipment and facilities, surveillance of general field operations, and maintenance of various databases regarding production and operations. The position applies basic skills to perform routine and complex operations using tools and equipment appropriate for the energy industry. Applies a general understanding of the technical concepts, practices, and procedures, and has a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations related to the oil and gas industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and procedures
Gauge production on assigned wells and report gauge readings, downtime, and other pertinent well information to the field office
Perform lease maintenance such as minor surface pump and production equipment repairs and adjustments; trim weeds, and maintain a clean working environment
Note problems and/or recommend a course of actions to supervisor in order to decrease costs and increase production
Assist in witnessing meter calibrations; monitor rates and pressures on injection and disposal wells; make necessary adjustments; monitor chemical use; and test safety systems daily to maximize daily production
Perform work in a manner that ensures the secure and environmentally safe operation of all wells and leases for which the pumper is responsible
Provide maintenance and care for the company assigned vehicle
Willing to work holidays, weekends, and nonscheduled call-outs
Frequent travel to field locations and training sites

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

High School Diploma/ GED preferred 5-10 years Horizontal Well Lease Operating related experience required
Driver’s License Required

SKILLS:

Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to perform basic computer skills and to learn company-specific applications
Familiar with oilfield terminology and operations

JOB CONDITIONS:
Field work is essential and a valid driver’s license is required for this position. On worksite locations, incumbents must be able to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes and flame-resistant clothing. Safety rules, including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; explosives; risk of radiation and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:

Driving motor vehicle on all types of roads including but not limited to, unmaintained gravel roads and in all weather conditions
Sitting for extended periods of time in vehicle
Standing
Walking, walking on uneven surfaces
Lifting materials up to 50 pounds
Replacing/repairing equipment
Pushing, Pulling on equipment and hand tools
Climbing Stairs using arms and legs on 10, 15, 20 and 25-foot production tanks
Balancing
Kneeling, stooping
Repeated bends
Reaching high and low
Repetitive twisting or pressure using wrist and hands
Must be able to operate manual tools to maintain wells including, but not limited to, the following tools: shovels, wrenches, rakes, and others
Hearing, seeing including depth perception and peripheral vision
Must be able to tolerate continuous vibrations and elevated noise levels
Must be able to tolerate wearing personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, hard hat, steel toed safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, safety glasses, and goggles
Must have mental alertness throughout regular shift, overtime, call outs
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
Must be able to input data into a computer

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Salary Range: $32.00 – $41.50/hour plus Bonus
Benefit Eligible: Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Vacation, Sick and Holiday pay along with other benefits plans offered to similarly situated employees.
